MAN_Upgrade/Downgrade: Accepting Passengers
KIU DCS supports passengers upgrade and downgrade but in order to be able to execute any of these two actions, the aircraft must have more than one cabin.
The eTicket upgrade or downgrade must be previously executed when ETKT has been set to Y in the PC or Control Panel as otherwise it will not be possible to upgrade or downgrade the passenger( see Emisión user manual).

Considerations
This feature allows passenger edition for upgrade or downgrade without any need to delete the passenger or change the class of service on the eTicket previously. The command can be also executed at the Gate, Transits counter, etc.
It also allows to indicate if the downgrade or upgrade has been voluntary or involuntary.
If the passenger travels with an INFANT, the associated INFANT will be also upgraded or downgraded at the same time.
As there is a change of cabin, the system will re-issue the boarding pass with a new seat.
It alllows the change of cabin in all connecting flights when different cabins are available.
Different seats can be selected if necessary when changing cabins in connecting flights.
The change of cabin is registered on the Flight History (PH) with the corresponding text, i.e. “UPGRADE” and indicating the original cabin and the new one.
