MAN_Boarding
Boarding
In order to start boarding the accepted passengers on the flight at least one terminal must be assigned to the boarding function. Flight status must be "OPEN" for Boarding.
Use the following entry:
PBA4580/26JULAEP
Response
ASSIGNED BOARDING -> 4580/26JUL AEP
When working on a past date flight (one day after departure date) must replace the date for a "-" sign in order to indicate the system, departure date occurred in the past.
For example, if departure date had had to be March 6 but actually departed on March 7, use the following format:
PBA5609-COR
Assign a terminal to begin boarding passengers, entry allows to board passengers individually o massively
Individual:
PB3 |
---|
Massive:
PB3,5,9,12,11,8,15,20 |
---|
Response:
Description:
PB | Fixed command |
3 | Check-in sequence number |
Use the sequence number for boarding, when boarding multiple passengers, if sequences are co-relative use a "-" to indicate the first and last one. When sequences aren´t co-relative use a "," (comma) to indicate each sequence number you're willing to board on the flight
Example:
PB3,8,56,88 |
---|
PB59-78 |
---|
The logic for accepting Adults and infants is the same as for the check in, meaning if the adult was accommodated including a lap infant, when boarding the adult the lap infant gets also boarded
Example
On the PNR, the passenger BABY is linked PAX RIVAS
Passenger BABY was accepted on the same transaction as passenger VEGA
During boarding process item 1 (adult) o 2 (Infant) can be boarded and system will automatically board both items.
Using bar code reader in NON-CUTE environments: reading from Microsoft Windows use the following entry:
This entry will display a pop up including the flight details. This entry is only used at airports where common use platforms (CUTE) such as SITA, ULTA, ARINC are NOT used.
Boarded Passenger List
Display the same list as for passengers accepted on the flight, this displays includes a column called BOARD, and an Indicator (Y) for the passengers that were boarded:
Response:
Column BOARD will display a "Y" for the passengers that were boarded on the flight
Passenger List for pending for boarding
This list will display the passengers accepted on the flight but not yet boarded, also displays the sequence numbers that where off loaded:
Response:
This display also included the passengers that were off loaded (OFF LOAD 1,3,10).
In addition, this list can also be customized to display only the bag tag numbers for the passengers pending for boarding:
Response:
In order to list passengers still missing at the gate together with their checked luggage and weight, the command is as follows:
Response:
You will see the PCK indicator on PBP with any of the filters (BT or BT+) and it means “web checked-in passenger” as on the example below:
Off load passengers
Use this entry to off load a passenger:
Description:
PBD | Fixed command |
11 | Sequence number |
Response:
1 PAX DEPLANED |
---|
The system responds with the amount on passengers offloaded followed by the text PAX DEPLAINED.
When displaying again the boarded/accepted passenger list, this passengers will be displayed accordingly
For the carriers that have the option [CWD]CONFIRMATION WHEN DEPLANING PAX on the JJCHK table set to YES, will display a warning for the agent displaying the passenger's first and last name, PNR code, and party code ( if applicable), this warning must be acknowledge by adding a /Y

Denied Boarding
Introduction
When canceling the passenger check-in procedure you may indicate that such cancellation is related to denied boarding.
If the passenger is denied boarding, it must be indicated if the reason was voluntary or involuntary, and if the passenger will be compensated or not.
The denied boarding functionality includes the following scope:
Identification of voluntary confirmed passengers to be denied boarding
List of voluntary passengers to be denied boarding
Cancellation of passengers, confirmed and on the waiting list, adding the feature "denied boarding"
Mass cancellation of confirmed and waitlisted passengers, adding the feature "denied boarding"
Denied boarding passengers list.
Passenger information with denied boarding in the PFS message (Passenger Final Sales)
Passenger records with denied boarding in the flight history
Voluntary denied boarding
During the check-in process , or edition of a passenger already checked, it can be indicated that a passenger is willing to accept denied boarding.
In the same way, it will also be possible to cancel the denied boarding previously assigned to a passenger.
If for operational or commercial reasons, any of the passengers on the flight should be left on the ground, the volunteers can be identified for denied boarding to cancel their check-in or the corresponding action.
Assignment
The indicator to identify a voluntary denied boarding passenger is VDB and can be indicated in the PU and PE command as follows:
Example:
Once the VDB feature has been added to the passenger, it can be seen in the display of the flight history, and in the list of passengers not traveling.
Deletion
The VDB characteristic assigned to the passenger with the VDBN indicator can be deleted as shown below:
Example:
List of voluntary denied boarding passengers
To obtain a list of the passengers who have volunteered for denied boarding, you must request a checked passengers display (PLC) by adding the VDB filter as shown below:
Denied Boarding
Single check-in cancellation
Once a passenger has been accepted, either confirmed or on the waiting list, it is possible to cancel the check-in procedure indicating that it has been denied boarding .
When indicating that a passenger is entitled for denied boarding the following considerations must be identified:
Voluntary or involuntary
Reason for denied boarding
Compensation method
An optional free text
The structure of the command is the following:
Examples:
The system response will repeat the previously entered indicators:
PE60 / 26AUGLHRMAD-2, DEL / DV / OB / CA / OVERBOOKED FLIGHT
* * * P A X OFF L O A D * * *
CHECKIN-> XX060 / 26AUG LHR

Command options with API
You can include the API indicator in the command to uncheck a passenger with denied boarding, to also indicate that you want to delete the preloaded API information (Advanced Passenger Information).
Examples:
Cancellation of mass check-in with denied boarding
When performing a mass check-in cancellation procedure with PEDEL command you can also indicate that it was a denied boarding.
Confirmed passengers
The command structure to massively cancel check-in for confirmed passengers with denied boarding is the following:
Example:
Indicators Type, Reason, Compensation and Additional Text apply the same way it applies to single passenger check-in cancellation.
In the "Seq. Number" field, you must indicate the numbers of boarding passes that will be massively unchecked. The options supported by this indicator are:
A single boarding pass number: 1
Several passengers separating with commas: 2,4,16
Selecting passenger ranges: 1-15
Combining options: 2,8,15-20,35
When performing the command the system will require confirmation of the action. To confirm the massive uncheck, the / Y flag must be added at the end of the command to process the transaction:
PEDEL4178/26AUGAEP/1-4/DV/OB/CA/OVERBOOKED FLIGHT
4 PASSENGERS WILL BE OFFLOADED. TO PROCESS ENTER
PEDEL4178/26AUGAEP/1-4/DV/OB/CA/OVERBOOKED FLIGHT/Y
Once the transaction is confirmed, the system will display boarding pass numbers that were unchecked:
PEDEL4178/26AUGAEP/1-4/DV/OB/CA/OVERBOOKED FLIGHT/Y
001 - OFFLOADED OK
002 - OFFLOADED OK
003 - OFFLOADED OK
004 - OFFLOADED OK
Waitlisted Passengers
The structure of the command to mass uncheck waitlisted passengers indicating that their boarding was denied, is as follows:
Indicators Type,Reason,Compensation and Additional Text apply the same way it applies to single passenger check-in cancellation.
In the "Seq. Number" field, you must indicate the numbers of boarding passes that will be massively unchecked. The options supported by this indicator are the same as those for the confirmed passengers.
Considerations
When carrying out a mass passengers uncheck, whether they are confirmed or on the waiting list, the system will not allow executing the same command until the process of unchecking each passenger included in the command has been completed.
If a user enters the mass uncheck command and such transaction is already running in the same terminal, the system will report:
INVALID - IT IS RUNNING THE SAME PROCESS IN THIS DEVICE MIA00XX201
If a user enters the mass uncheck command for a flight and that transaction is already running for the same flight, the system will report:
INVALID - IT IS ALREADY RUNNING THE SAME PROCESS FOR FLIGHT XX5050/26AUGEZE

Considerations
The PLD list will only show those passengers who were confirmed and then denied boarding. If the passenger was on the waiting list, and then the check-in was canceled, and boarding denied, it will not appear on this list.
The system does not validate either the type, mode, nor the reason. If non-existing codes are entered, the system will respond without data to the list.
The PLD list will be available before and after the final closing of the flight (PD command).
PFS (Passenger Final Sales)
Passengers with denied boarding will be identified in the PFS message that is generated at the time of flight closure (Check-in PD command).
The new indicators that will be displayed along with the .DBC / element of the message are the following:
OFFLK
Includes those passengers who were checked on the flight and then were canceled from the check-in with the DV or DI indicators.
OFFLN
Includes those passengers who were checked on the flight and then were canceled from the check-in with the DV or DI indicators and that were Go Show.
Flight history
In the flight history (PH command), it will be recorded if the passengers had their boarding denied as shown below:
