Modify record (editable fields)

Description


KIU Click allows the user to modify certain fields while in the creation process or even after the reservation has been saved.

To make this process user-friendly, the application uses common iconography to identify common actions such as cancel or edit.

Below you will find a basic flow on how to modify fields and a list of conditions to do so if applicable.

Itinerary field


Class


As shown above, the class of service shows a pen next to it, this icon will allow you with a simple click and action process, to update in this case, the class of service.

After clicking on the pen icon, the system will display a dialogue box in which the current class of service will be shown and there will be a secondary box to specify the new one, in the below example “Y“ class will be changed to “H“:

After the new class has been specified, just click on SAVE and the new information will be reflected in the itinerary section:

It is important to remember that, regardless of the above message that confirms the transaction, it is still mandatory to save the changes via SAVE button so to get a new class confirmed, otherwise space/s will remain as originally requested

 

Number of seats/spaces


Another editable value within the itinerary is the number of requested spaces.

Before jumping to the edition process remember that the number of spaces or seats must match the number of passenger names, the only exception are the infants which do not occupy a seat, thus if an increase in the number of seats is to be performed also new names must be added.

Taking the above into consideration, in order to add more spaces, there is a dedicated button which will open a counter-like dialogue box:

As seen above and following the same logic used in the process of record creation, to specify the number of spaces required, the number of each passenger type is to be added using the “+“or “-“ buttons.

So just as an example, we will increase the number of adults to be two, two children and one infant:

 

Once you have specified the new number of seats, click on CONFIRM. The system will consider the new numbers being specified and will show a passenger addition mask that will look like this:

Once the new passenger info is filled in, the “NEXT PASSENGER“ button will be enabled, this process is to be repeated as many times as new passengers are being added.

Once all names are added, the system will redisplay the record with new details.

As stated before, every time a modification is done, a SAVE action should be applied afterwards.

Flights


KIU Click allows adding additional flights to a record, even when the user has left the availability screen, to do so, click on:

After clicking, the button will redirect you to the availability screen in which the new flights will be selected following the regular availability flow:

Once selected, and following the standard system behaviour, the system will return to the PNR view showing the new details, also for this step, changes need to be saved:

Cancellation/Deletion


To cancel or delete a field/item, the only action necessary is to click on the “X“ action button shown next to the field to be cancelled or deleted, hereunder two examples:

Bear in mind that while the itinerary field is editable by anyone that has reservations´permissions, the name field will be limited to certain users with valid permissions (keywords) or to the creation process.

For deletion cancellation processes, a pop up will be shown in order to reconfirm the action.

For additional fields such as Special Services, Remarks and Contact, the flow follows the same logic, enabling a “+ <FIELD>“ button to add. For example:

In case cancellation/deletion is required, an “X“ button will be made available.
