User Management (Terminal association)

Description

USER MANAGEMENT is the set of actions that can be applied to different user types. Besides the basic actions such as modify, delete or deactivate, there is an additional option meant for terminal association purposes.

Although this action will also be available from the User Management from list results will now cover it from a dedicated tab called “USER MANAGEMENT” this tab will be available as well from the USER module:

Note that unlike the management option from LIST in which several filters can be applied, the user management tab will only accept as valid search criteria, user number or access email.

As a result, rather than getting several hits on the search operation, the system will display only the user whose information matches the input on the search box.

Device Association process

Once the desired user is retrieved using any applicable criterion, the system, as it has been explained before, will show a USER SUMMARY view:

In this summary view, one of the fields will be ASSOCIATED DEVICES.

Before jumping to the association process, a quick explanation on how this is important to a correct KIU CLICK usage.

KIU Click users connect to KIU servers in order to request information, store transactions, request price quotations, create flights among other various operations. This connection is established via a dedicated device; this device will also control point of sale information, connection type among others.

Taking into consideration the above information, as a mandatory requirement in order to operate with KIU Click, all users must have at least a default device to connect to KIU´s servers.

Considering the above explanation and screenshot, we will now explore how to modify the device info, how to add additional devices or remove those that are not required.

By clicking on the LINK icon next to “ASSOCIATED DEVICES“, the system will display an additional screen with the device´s information.

Once clicked, the system will display the above information showing the agent data, the default device ID marked by a the button to unlink such device (note that in this case as only one device has been assigned it can bot be unassigned.) and finally a search box with additional filters.

On this screen, the managing user will also have the capability of creating a new user, which will be exactly the same as covered before under USER CREATION and also to request new devices in case needed.

Add additional devices

In case a user has no associated device at all or given the event of adding a secondary device, the first step is to determine which will be device code to be added; to do so, a quick search will be performed using as a filter OFFICE, CITY or COUNTRY information.

The only information required to look for the devices is filter type (any of the above) and its corresponding value:

Or

Once the user has completed the desired filter and clicked on SEARCH the system will show a response with all available terminals based on the previous example, on the below screenshot a city criterion was used:

As seen above, the system lists as many available devices exist for that city.

Also note that the ASSOCIATE option is not active, this is because no terminal has been selected from the list (when selected they turn purple) thus, no association action can be taken.

Hereunder an example of the changes that will occur once a terminal is selected and associated.

After clicking the desired terminal and click the ASSOCIATE button a success response will be shown:

Finally, after this message is accepted the system will now show on top the user information along with the terminal association data:

Removing devices

In the event that for any reason, a device is to be removed, the steps to be followed are:

  • Display the user profile whose devices are to be modified this can be done using any of the available means, user list or user management.

  • Once the profile has been displayed, click on the LINK icon next to ASSOCIATED DEVICE to jump to the device management screen.

  • Once on the device management screen, you will be able to remove the unwanted device by clicking on the BROKEN LINK button, below an example

  • After clicking the button, the system will prompt a message requesting confirmation, if the transaction is correct and to be completed, just click on ACCEPT to continue

The default terminal will not be available for removal as it is the system minimum requirement to access KIU Click.

After processing a terminal removal, the system will enable the processed terminal to be reused.

Note

The default terminal will not be available for removal as it is the system minimum requirement to access KIU Click.
