Passenger Type Code (PTC)
Definition
By default, air requirements assume that all passengers are Adults (ADT), however, other types of additional passengers may be detailed.
The types of passengers can indicate a number of circumstances, including age, companion status, organizational affiliation, special assistance, etc.
Passenger Type Codes consist of 3 letters in their encoding.
Reservation
The Passenger Type Code must be entered in the name field so that the passenger can qualify for that specific discount type.

Each PTC will be shown for each passenger following an asterisc.

If you want to use a PTC of a minor passenger type, for example UNN or CNN, you must first enter CHD.
Example:
In case of specifying only the PTC UNN, without the correct passenger type (CHD), the system will respond: INVALID

In case of specifying only the PTC MIL, with an incorrect type of passenger (CHD), the system will respond: INVALID

By default the change applies to ADT pax, except CHD is included in the command.

Fare
The PTC should be entered in the Passenger Type Code box so the fare could be offered and quoted when there is a match with the passenger type code included in the reservation.
To create a new fare, the entry is:

In the Passenger Type Codes box it can be chosen between the DEFAULT list and the OTHER list (click on the button)

By selecting a PTC from the Default list, there is no need of typing any data on the following box on the right.
By selecting the option OTHER, the complete list can be displayed by clicking on the (...) and then typing in the box on the right.
FQD
Once the fare has been saved, it can be displayed with the following option /P:

In case there is no fare for the type of passenger YTH, the system will respond:
In case this PTC is not defined, the system will respond:

To modify a discount, the new one entered will ovewrite the previous one:

In case the PTC is not a valid one or does not exist in the table, the following message will be shown:
To delete a discount, the PTC will be entered with no value:

Quotation
If the PTC is entered in the name field, the quotation process will look for a fare applying to that Passenger Type Code.
PTC will be shown under the TYPE column.
Example of a military PTC (MIL):
Infant and Child passenger type codes will be quoted with the lowest available fare associated to the Adult passenger.

In case there is more than one Adult PTC in the same PNR, quotations will be shown individually. The same will occur with the issuances:

In the Eticket the Passenger Type Code will be shown as follows:

In the Itinerary, each PTC will be shown following each passenger´s name.
ITR
Depending on the ITR model selected by the airline, PTCs will be shown following the passenger´s name (model 5) or at the end of the Fare Calculation (models 1 to 4)
