Purpose


The aim of this instructions is to help you configure the avaliable texts in the Booking, Web check-in and Manage My Booking flows.

General considerations


By using labels, the airline administrator will be able to configure the texts displayed in the different flows.

Label characteristics:

  • The labels are texts which are usually in lower-case letters, separated by “_” underscore;

  • They represent texts that are on each screen of the different flows that passengers can access.

  • This labels may be associated with mutiple languages according to the client’s needs. If you want to add a new language, you should send your requirement to your account executive.

  • The airline administrator will be able to determine the label’s designation/value/translation that may be pertinent for each flow.

Once you have logged in, select “Translate”, and the option “Webapp”.

Configurations for Kiu Translate


  1. Open the “Translate” option.

  2. Select the Application: “ecommerce”.

  3. Select the module you want to configure: Each of them represents a screen in the flow.

    1. The options that begin with “wchk” refer to the screens in the Web Check-in flow.

    2. The options that begin with “mmb” refer to the screens in the Manage My Booking flow.

    3. Other options refer to the sales flow.

    4. In the module “undefined” you will find labels that may be used not only for one, but for several screens, for example the translation displayed in the footer.

4. Select the language you want to configure.

5. If you check the passengers website, and notice that a label is not translated, you may create a new label with the proper translation.

6. To edit a translation, select the column “actions”, by using the pen icon.

7. To delete a translation, select the column “actions”, by using the trash can.

How to translate fare regulations


  1. Once KIU confirms regulations are already available, you may go to reservation flow> screen “Search results”. On this screen you will be able to check regulations.

  2. Go to the app “Kiu Translate” using STAGE partition with the access “Kiu auth STAGE” (if you do not have the access, you should ask for it to your account executive).

  3. Once there, you should go to the app: shopping_lib and select the language you want to use.

  4. Click on “Create”.

  5. Put in “label” one of the labels from the reservation flow> screen “Search results” > Section “Check fare regulations”.

  6. Use “translate” to upload the text you want to show the passenger instead of the label.

  7. Click on “Create”.

  8. Repeat this process until you have finished translating all the labels in the section “Check fare regulations”.

Note #1: remember to upload regulations in all languages available in your reservation flow

Note #2: translations may take about 2hs to be displayed online, if you need it right away, you must enter the eCommerce back office and click on the "Clear cache of configurations and translations" button. In order to clear the production cache, go to the link of the production back office environment.

Note #3: You can upload it directly to PRODUCTION from this Kiu Translate PROD link.

How to translate taxes and fees


The loading of taxes and fees should be done in the "undefined" module because they will be displayed throughout the entire booking flow.

  1. Go to the app “Kiu Translate” using STAGE partition with the access “Kiu auth STAGE” (if you do not have the access, you should ask for it to your account executive).

  2. Once there, you should go to the app: ecommerce > module: undifined > and select the language you want to use.

  3. Click on “Create”.

  4. Load the tax or fee code in the “label” as follows:

    1. Taxes: tax_code_<tax code>

      1. ex: tax_code_YQ

    2. Fee: fee_code

      1. ex: fee_code_OB

  5. Use “translate” to upload the text you want to show the passenger instead of the label.

  6. Click on “Create”.

  7. Repeat this process until you have finished translating all the labels you have configured for taxes and fees.

Note #1: remember to upload regulations in all languages available in your reservation flow

Note #2: translations may take about 2hs to be displayed online, if you need it right away, you must enter the eCommerce back office and click on the "Clear cache of configurations and translations" button. In order to clear the production cache, go to the link of the production back office environment.

How to translate equipment´s name


The load of the equipment should be done in the “undefined” module and in the “mmb_booking_details” module.

Load in “undefined” module

  1. Go to the app “Kiu Translate” using STAGE partition with the access “Kiu auth STAGE” (if you do not have the access, you should ask for it to your account executive).

  2. Once there, you should go to the app: ecommerce > module: undifined > and select the language you want to use.

  3. Click on “Create”.

  4. Load the equipment code in the “label” as follows:

    1. equipment_737

      1. equipment” mandatory command

      2. 737 is the equipment code that appears in the KASAT* table in RES

  5. Use “translate” to upload the text you want to show the passenger instead of the label.

  6. Click on “Create”.

  7. Repeat this process until you have finished translating all the equipments you have configured.

Load in “mmb_booking_details” module

  1. Go to the app “Kiu Translate” using STAGE partition with the access “Kiu auth STAGE” (if you do not have the access, you should ask for it to your account executive).

  2. Once there, you should go to the app: ecommerce > module: undifined > and select the language you want to use.

  3. Click on “Create”.

  4. Load the equipment code in the “label” as follows:

    1. equipment_737_0

      1. equipment_” mandatory command

      2. 737” is the equipment code that appears in the KASAT* table in RES

      3. _0” mandatory command for the “mmb booking_details” module

  5. Use “translate” to upload the text you want to show the passenger instead of the label.

  6. Click on “Create”.

  7. Repeat this process until you have finished translating all the equipments you have configured.

How to translate extra services


  1. Go to the app “Kiu Translate” using STAGE partition with the access “Kiu auth STAGE” (if you do not have the access, you should ask for it to your account executive).

  2. Once there, you should go to the app: service_hub> and select the language you want to use.

  3. Click on “Create”.

  4. The service label will be displayed as follows: service_hub.PETC_0

  5. Load the extra service code in the “label” as follows:

    1. PETC_0

      1. “PETC” the service code configured in the JJSSR table

      2. _0” mandatory command

  6. Use “translate” to upload the text you want to show the passenger instead of the label.

    1. ex: Pet in cabin

  7. Click on “Create”.

  8. Repeat this process until you have finished translating all the extra services you have configured in eCommerce.
