Introduction
This functionality allows all passengers holding a confirmed reservation or not,to be accepted on the waiting list as a StandBy passenger.
Initially the passenger will be accepted with the SBY code, to be considered for weight and balance of the airplane and to be listed according to its Priority Code, if any.
A Boarding Pass with SBY sign will be printed and, if passenger is not carrying baggage to check ,bag tag will read with the Standby sign.
When possible, check- in agent will manually accept the SBY passengers, according to the order established in the Priority Table, previously configured by each airline. As the numbers of seats available to the SBY passengers are being taken, their baggage will also be confirmed.
Once all the available seats have been taken, the flight will normally be closed, in case passengers without seats have been left, they should be discharged and transferred to a new flight.
Waiting List Priority Codes Table
The codes entered in this table will then be used by check-in agents, who will assign the same to the passengers accepted on the waiting list. This will determine the order of the PLW list (passengers on a waiting list for a flight / date in particular).
From this list, if there is space available on the flight, passengers will be confirmed manually and may be embarked.
To manage the table (registration, cancellation, codes modify the keyword CHKSBT and Duty 5 will be required (permission that the user must have in his signature).
The actions that can be done on the table are:
new codes
existent codes
existent codes
