The purpose of this document is to describe the access to the BI database replica.
VPN
A VPN must be established between the airline and Kiu replica database servers. The VPN server, user, and password will be provided by the account executive.
To establish the VPN on Windows 10, add a new VPN connection
VPN provider → Windows (built-in)
Connection name → <fill in with identifier of your choice>
Server name or address → [vpn server]
VPN type → IKEv2
Type of sign-in info → User name and password
User name → [user]
Password → [password]
To enable split-tunneling (required to keep internet connection and other networks alive while connected to the VPN), find advanced settings for VPN connection:
Settings → Show available networks → Change adapter options → select VPN connection from identifier above → right-click properties → Networking → IPv4 → Properties → Advanced → deselect "Use default gateway on remote network"
Connect to the VPN
Database access
Once you are connected to the VPN, you will be able to access the replica server. You can use a sql client (DBeaver) to access the database.
The target IP, port, user and password will also be provided by the account executive.
