MAN_Remote ATP/BTP Printing

Introduction

This functionality allows bag tags and boarding passes to be printed remotely, that is, boarding passes and bag tags can be printed  remotely from a connected KIU Terminal  to another KIU terminal.


The following commands will allow performing the following functionalities:

  • Manage printers where  bag tags and boarding passes will be printed

  • Manage terminals that will print remotely

  • Display terminals and printers configuration



Define Printer

The following commands can  be used to define the remote printers for boarding passes and bag tags.

Print a  boarding pass

The following command allows to set the terminal  printer  that will be shared with other KIU termianals, and where the boarding passes will be printed:



PTA#<DEVICE>/P-ATB/<ON or OFF>


Examples:


PTA#CUN00XX457/P-ATB/ON   -->  Activates terminal to receive BP printings.




PTA#CUN00XX457/P-ATB/OFF --> Deactivates terminal to receive BP printings.

ON and OFF options are the options that allow activating or deactivating the use of the printers of a terminal.

When using the OFF indicator, if the terminal indicated in the command has associated terminals, it will  be immediately unassigned and it  will not be able to continue printing on the terminal printer.

If you do not enter # symbol and the terminal code (device), the system will assume that the terminal from which you are working will be the terminal in which the boarding passes will be printed. The command is the following:


PTA/P-ATB/<ON or OFF>

Examples:

PTA/P-ATB/ON   --> Activates terminal to receive BP printings
PTA/P-ATB/OFF --> Dectivates terminal to receive BP printings


Bag tags Printer:

The following command allows you to set the printer of the terminal that will be shared with other  KIU terminals, and where the bag tags will be printed :


PTA#<DEVICE>/P-BTP/<ON or OFF>


Examples:

PTA#CUN00XX457/P-BTP/ON   --> Activates terminal to receive BT printings
PTA#CUN00XX457/P-BTP/OFF --> Deactivates terminal to receive BT printings.

 ON and OFF options are the options  that allow activating or deactivating the use of the printers of a terminal.


When using OFF indicator if the indicated terminal has assigned terminals it will automatically be unassigned and will not allow to continue printing in the terminal printer

PTA/P-BTP/<ON or. OFF>


Example:


PTA/P-BTP/ON   --> Activates terminal where to receive boarding passes.Ac


PTA/P-BTP/OFF -->Deactivates terminal where to receive boarding passes.Ac



Remote printer selection

The following commands should be used to define on which printers the boarding passes will be printed, and the bag tags.


In the command you must indicate the terminal in which the printers are connected.

Boarding pass printer 

The following command allows establishing a link between terminals to remotely print boarding passes. This command allows you to link a terminal with a remote printer.

PTA#<DEVICE 1>/A-ATB/<DEVICE 2>


Example:

PTA#CUN00XX460/A-ATB/CUN00XX457


In the previous example when a passenger is accepted from terminal CUN00XX460,boarding pass will be printed to connected terminal  CUN00XX457.

If terminal or device 1 is not indicated in the command ,system assumption will consider the terminal code from where the transaction is being made.


PTA/A-ATB/<DEVICE 2>

Example:


PTA/A-ATB/CUN00XX457


Device 2" is the terminal where the printer is connected.



Dissociate


The following command cancels the link between terminals to remotely print boarding passes.


PTA#<DEVICE 1>/D-ATB/<DEVICE 2>


Example:


PTA#CUN00XX460/D-ATB/CUN00XX457


In the previous example, when a passenger is  checked-in  from terminal CUN00XX460, the boarding pass will no longer be printed on the printer connected to terminal CUN00XX457.


If terminal 1 (Device 1) is not indicated in the command, the system will assume by default the  terminal code from which the transaction is being made:


PTA/D-ATB/<DEVICE 2>


Example:


PTA/D-ATB/CUN00XX457


Device 2" is the terminal where the printer is connected.




Bag Tag printer


LINK


The following command allows establishing a link between terminals to remotely print bag tags. This command allows you to link a terminal with a remote printer.


PTA#<DEVICE 1>/A-BTP/<DEVICE 2>


Example:


PTA#CUN00XX460/A-BTP/CUN00XX457


In the previous example, when a passenger is checked-in with luggage from terminal CUN00XX460, the bag tag will be printed on the printer connected to terminal CUN00XX457.


If terminal 1 (Device 1) is not indicated in the command, the system will assume by default the terminal  code  from which the transaction is being made:



PTA/A-BTP/<DEVICE 2>


Example:


PTA/A-BTP/CUN00XX457


"Device 2" is the terminal where the printer is connected.




Dissociate


The following command allows to cancel  the link  between terminals to print bag tags remotely.

PTA#<DEVICE 1>/D-BTP/<DEVICE 2>


Example:

PTA#CUN00XX460/D-BTP/CUN00XX457


In the previous example, when a passenger is  checked-in with baggage from terminal CUN00XX460, the bag tag will no longer be printed on the printer connected to terminal CUN00XX457.


If terminal 1 (Device 1) is not indicated in the command, the system will assume the terminal code by default from which the transaction is being made:


PTA/D-BTP/<DEVICE 2>

PTA/D-BTP/CUN00XX457


"Device 2" is the terminal where the printer is connected.
