Baggage Tag - CREW

This functionality allows printing automated bag tags for the flight crew baggage. These items are included on the flight total baggage and they are listed  together with the RUSH baggage

The CREW indicator is printed on the Bag Tag and crew member receives a claim portion

This function is available for airports operating on /wiki/spaces/AP/pages/3573059 or KPM AEA

Add

When the indicator for printing automated bag tags is set to ON  (BAGT: Y on the PC) CREW bag tags will also be automated

In order to print manual bag tags for CREW, BAGT indicator must be turned off (N), this action will also affect the bag tags for passengers.

The Automated bag tag printing for CREW will assign a tag number from the airline stock, same as used for regular passengers

BSM

When adding or deleting a CREW Bag the system sends ( in case it is configured for the Airline/Airport) a BSM message which is necessary to feed third party vendors and it occurs the same when adding or deleting a RUSH bag.

CREW baggage contains all the common sections of the /wiki/spaces/AP/pages/3573067, including the Claim Portion, and also uses the same stock number as the automated passenger bag tags from 000001 to 999999

Removable Stubs

In order to meet baggage reconciliation requirements, pectab will print 3 removable stubs, that will be distributed on the baggage according to the airport needs or government indications:

  • Passenger's name and last name
  • Record Locator
  • numeric translation of the bar code
  • Bag tag number alphanumeric(Airline's IATA code + 6 digits)
  • Board and off point, (in case of connecting flights is the first segment)
  • Bar code
  • Flight Number and flight date

Information and Routing Area

This portion of the bag tag is attached to the baggage and contains details for the airline, route, bar codes. The section containing the routing area is printed mirrored so that when folding and pasting the label, it can be scanned or read from both sides. The "information area" remains in the center of the label.

  • Airline Name
  • Board and off point, for more than three connecting flights the first tag will not display the off point and it will be printed on the last bag tag (a second bag tag is printed after the third connecting flight)
  • Passenger's Name and last name.
  • Record Locator
  • Sequence number
  • Baggage pieces and weight
  • last off point, city code/airport and name, for more than three connecting flights the first bag tag reads TRANSFER CONJUCTION
  • Agent sine/user responsable for check-in
  • Date, time and place where tag was printed

The Section Routing Area contains the following information:

  • Final off point: marked as TO
    • Flight Number and date
  • Connection/s: marked as VIA
    • Flight Number and date
  • Bag tag number alpha-numeric
