Acceptance of passenger with hand baggage


Once the passenger search is done, you can check it, adding hand baggage, from the search list.

The command to check a passenger with their respective hand luggage is:

If any of these parameters are not met, the system will return an error message, indicating to check hand baggage.

CHECK HAND BAGGAGE

If the passenger can be successfully checked, the system response will show the baggage information in the H.BAG component:

If multiple passengers are checked, as with checked baggage, the carry-on baggage will be added to the first passenger:

 

Note: Keep in mind that the weight entered is the total , not the weight unit .

Passenger acceptance without specifying hand baggage weight

Baggage weight is optional  in the command to add hand baggage when checking a passenger. In case the weight is not indicated the command is:

Acceptance with mandatory seat assignment


If the flight is configured with mandatory seat assignment, the seat map is automatically displayed. In this case, hand baggage should be indicated in the "Others Elements" field using the hand luggage indicator, the number of pieces and weight . For example: HB3 / 25

Once all the necessary data is completed, confirmation is done by clicking OK and the system will execute the corresponding entry.

Note: Slash  and kilos are optional in the command.

Passenger acceptance with connecting flights

When a passenger has a connecting  flight and wishes a through check-in to the final destinations an "O" has to be added in the acceptance command. 

Hand baggage will be displayed in both flights





Accepted Passengers List

This option displays a list of the checked passengers including hand baggage information  and bag tags dispatched by the passengers. The command is:

Outbound and Inbound passenger list

It is possible to generate a list of accepted passenger specifying if it is inbound(PLI) or outbound (PLO)connection,thus allowing to display checked and hand baggage.

To visualize a list with the bag tags information you must enter the command with the extension / BT as shown below:

Remaining available weight calculation from the traffic manifest (PW) 


Once the maximum weight for take off is entered on the Control Panel, the system calculates automatically the available weight remaining

The Available weight remaining will decrease as passengers get accepted, bags, cargo and mail are added to the flight.

The remaining available weight is obtained from the following calculation: 

Remaining available weght – (TTL Pax weight + TTL Eq.weight + TTL cargo and mail weight)
