There are 2 versions available for administrating the different seat characteristics on the Seat Map.

Version 1 is the default version distributed to all airlines.
Version 2 includes the possibility to configure new special seat characteristics for the same seat and it also includes the possibility to configure double-decker aircrafts.
The new seat characteristics on version 2 are the multiple characteristics associated to one seat and the rows configuration for double-decker aircrafts, indicating the upper and the main aircraft decks which can be displayed only in KIU COMMAND as it is not yet available in the graphic mode. Anyway, version 2 Graphical Seating Chart will also displayed the seat characteristics available on version 1.

The functions options to block, unblock, unblock and the option to allow lap infants can be edited using entries instead of displaying the graphic seat mapseats for infants on adult´s lap are also available by commands on native mode instead of having to display the graphical seat map.

Reserve Seats

Use the following options to reserve a seat

Reserves the selected seat number and keeps the previously reserved seats if any.

Use the options below to reserve seat seats / rows

Block Seats

Use the following options to block a seat on the seat map.

Blocks the selected seat number and keeps while keeping the previously block seats.

Use the following options to block a seat or a row.

Managing the seat map from the control panel (version 2)

Introducción

Special feature configurations for flight seat map can be managed at check-in seat maps assigned to a flight. You can set special features . Special features can be added for each seat at the time of check-in from the Flight on the seat map when checking in and also from the flight Control Panel (PC)

Description

In order to manage the different seat characteristics that can be configured in on the check-in seat map, there are 2 version types of versions.
Version 1 is the one distributed on to all airlines and it is the one that comes by default.
Version 2 includes the possibility of configuring new special features , allowing them to for the same seat and also includes equipment aircraft seat map with 2 floors (upper and main deck)
The These new multiple features that are included in version 2 ,can be configured to for the same seat and the rows that identify on native mode together with rows identifying the aircraft floor floor (upper and main deck) Unfortunately these new features are not available to be displayed in the graphic mode, they can only be displayed in command mode. In any case, for the graphical seat map. However if version 2 is activated, the graph containing the characteristics of characteristics available on version 1 can will be also displayed on the graphical seat map.

Activate version type:

The version to be used by the airline is configurable and the airline must request it version will be configured and activated under airline request to KIU Support for activation.(host@kiusys.com or your Executive Account)

Soported Features

This version incorporates the possibility of for assigning and displaying multiple characteristics to the same seat and allows managing new characteristics that are not avaialable in force in version 1 (seats that have an electricity electric charger, seats that allow assigning seating people in wheelchairs, seats that allow seating unaccompanied minors)
In the seats that are in the rows configured in the upper deck, upper deck special and multiple characteristics can also be configured (for seats and rows in the same way that it is configured in for the main deck).
This configuration allows managing the map of seats that contain multiple seat characteristics in the same seat (both operational and commercial) and It also incorporates the possibility of configuringto configure/viewing view seats that allow for passengers with reduced mobility (PMR as i.e, wheelchair) and unaccompanied minor (unaccompanied minor)minors.
These new features are only displayed in the drop-down seat map in native mode either with the PV and PC, that is, they or PC command. These features are not displayed in the graphic that is displayed at the time of check-in or when graphical seat map which is displayed when checking a passenger in or requesting the PS.
The special characteristics that can be associated (both for the upper deck and for the main deck) to the seats to the seats for both upper and main deck are the following:

Seat: it is the identification of the row and/or column of the seat to be configured, depending on the characteristic to be configured, the row or column must be identified instead of the seat number.
+: Configures the indicated selected seat and keeps as reserved all the other seats that were previously reserved.
- If the "+" is not specified, it reconfigures the reserved seats and releases those that were previously configured

Introducción

En este capítulo se explica la metodología para la asignación de las características especiales de los asientos en los mapas de asientos de los equipos a través del OAC; teniendo en cuenta que la activación de la aerolínea para la administración de los mapas de asientos es la versión 2.

Descripción

Se pueden establecer características especiales para cada asiento y que queden definidos con esta característica en el mapa de asientos asociado a una configuración
Dependiendo el tipo de activación que posea la aerolínea existen 2 tipos de configuración en la administración y visualización de los mapas de asientos.
En este capítulo se describe la metodología para la asignación de las características con la versión 1 activada

Activación del tipo de versión:

La versión a utilizar por la línea aérea es configurable por cliente y debe ser requerido a Soporte para su configuración

Características soportadas por la versión 2

En esta versión se incorpora la posibilidad de asignar y visualizar múltiples características al mismo asiento y permite administrar nuevas características que no se encuentran vigentes en la versión 1 (asientos que tengan cargador de electricidad, asientos que permitan asignar a personas en silla de rueda, asientos que permitan sentar menores no acompañados)
Asimismo permite la configuración de mapas de asiento identificando configuraciones de aircraft con dos pisos. El piso superior es identificado como upper deck y el principal como main deck
En los asientos que se encuentren en las filas configuradas en el upper deck también pueden configurarse características especiales y múltiples (de la misma forma que se configura en el main deck)
Esta configuración permite administrar el mapa de asientos que contengan características múltiples en el mismo asiento (tanto operativas como comerciales) y asimismo se incorpora la posibilidad de configurar/visualizar asientos que permitan pasajeros con movilidad reducida (wheelchair) y menor no acompañado (unaccompanied minor).
Estas nuevas características son solamente visualizadas en el mapa de asientos desplegables en el PV, el PC, el OAC y en KPRS, es decir no se visualizan en el gráfico que se despliega al momento de realizar el checkin ni al solicitar el PS.

Las características especiales que pueden asociarse (tanto para el upper deck como para el main deck) a los asientos son las siguientes:

Si se modifica la configuración de un seat map, que está siendo usado en un vuelo, los cambios no se reflejarán automáticamente, sino que se tendrá que desasignar la matricula en uso, asignar otra y luego volver a asignar la que tenía originalmente. En este momento se reflejarán los cambios realizados en el OAC/SM.

Visualización múltiples características de un asiento

Se incorpora la alternativa de la visualización de todas las características configuradas en un mismo asiento.
Los asientos que tengan múltiples características pueden ser identificados en el despliegue del mapa con un signo "+" para las características comerciales que tiene ese asiento, y un signo "*" cuando posea múltiples características operativas.
